Come out and join other nature enthusiasts for a week celebration of Mother Earth! All events, except for the Earth Day Soiree, will take place at the Nature Center. Bring your friends and family, and come see what's happening.

Nature tales, 11am
This is a family friendly, free event hosted at Stokes Nature Center every week. Stories and activities are geared towards children ages 2-6 years old. This week we will share a story about our small and fluttery friend, the hummingbird.
diy hummingbird feeder
2pm - 4pm
Join us to learn more about hummingbirds and create your own hummingbird feeder made from materials found right in your home! Please bring a bottle (glass is preferred, but plastic will work as well) and a shallow plastic container with a closable lid. We will also have materials to create pinecone bird feeder that may be better suited for children.
Have extra bottles and plastic containers that you are looking to donate? Great! Please bring them to share with other participants.

guided Trail cleanup
4pm - 5:30pm
Contribute to the health of Logan Canyon by joining a Stokes Nature Center Naturalist for a guided cleanup hike. As we clean up the trail participants will be able to enjoy the wide array of spring's fresh growth. This is an easy to moderate hike open to people of all ages.
upcycled crafts workshop
6pm - 7:30pm
Are you looking to express your artistic side? Bring your old Mason jars and egg cartons for a creative, nature-themed upcycled crafts workshop! We will be using recycled materials to create Mason Jar Terrariums, Egg Carton Flowers and Critters, and Clay Wind Chimes.
We are currently looking for donations of mason jars, egg cartons, and arts & crafts supplies (i.e. seed beads, glue, paint, pipe cleaner, googly eyes, craft pom poms, etc.) Any of your help is greatly appreciated!

Milkweed planting, 10am
Help us in planting milkweed around the Nature Center. We will providing and planting milkweed sprouts from 10am-4pm at the center.
