Monarch Migration Field Trip

Come with us on a trip of a lifetime to observe the Monarch Butterfly Migration!  Every winter, forests in the mountains of southern California and central Mexico play host to millions and millions of over-wintering monarch butterflies.

In the spring and summer, the butterflies live in the valley regions west of the Rocky Mountains where the monarch's companion plant, milkweed, is found. Since milkweed plants are found throughout Utah, monarchs also can be found throughout the state.

Stay tuned as Stokes Nature Center plans this extraordinary adventure.
