Crawl, splash, dig, and search your way through nature. Be inspired by stories and create nature experiences during this outdoor play time. Session I June 16 - 19 (Monday - Thursday), 10:00 a.m. to Noon Session II July 28 - 31 (Monday - Thursday), 10:00 a.m. to Noon Sessions I and II feature different stories and activities.

Fossils and Dinos and Rocks, Oh My! July 7 - 11 (Monday - Friday),
9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Fort and Shelter Building in the Wild July 14 - 18 (Monday - Friday), 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Outdoor Survival Camp August 4 - 8 (Monday - Friday), 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Are you interested in making fire without matches, fishing without hooks, cooking without a kitchen? These are skills needed to survive in the wilderness without tools or equipment. This camp will teach you these skills as well as how to find water, signal for help and survive harsh conditions. An overnight campout at the end of the week will allow you to practice your survival skills and show us what you have learned. Grade levels are based on the 2008-09 school year. 2nd and 3rd graders 4th and 5th graders June 23 - 27 (Monday - Friday), 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Program Fee: $100 SNC members, $115 non-members Mail completed forms to: Scholarship Fund A limited number of scholarships are available for Summer Camps. Naturalist Forester Geology Bear Elective Programs Nature Craft - 2.5 hours -$7 per scout. Soil and Water Conservation, Sharing your world with Wildlife - 1.5 hours -$5 per scout. Girl Scout Badges All 3 hours per program - $8 per scout per badge Cadette and Senior Interest Projects: Wildlife Eco-Action Digging Throught the Past Orienteering Junior Girl Scout Badges: Most 2 hours -$5 per scout. Finding Your Way Rocks Rock Earth Connections Frosty Fun - 3 hours per badge - $10 per scout Brownie Try Its 1.5 hours per badge - $5 per scout Eco-Explorer For Any Group: Nature Discovery Hour- 1 hour - $2 per person ($20 minimum) Join anSNC naturalists on a tour of the nature center including displays and animals. Tour includes a 45 minute guided exploration plus 15 minute exploration. Nature Hot Topics - 1 hour - $3 per person ($20 minimum) Explore a specific topic: Geology, Birds, Fossils, Animal Signs, Native Plants, River, Trees, or Weather.
