Flax is one of the oldest known cultivated plants, and the fibers from this plant have been used for thousands of years to make linen thread and fabric. Bob King of the Northern Utah Fiber Artisans, will demonstrate how to prepare flax fibers. He will show the traditional tools and methods used to separate the fiber in preparation for spinning.
