Free K-5th Great Salt Lake curricula available for use in your own classroom!

Introduce your students to important science concepts, and use ELA, Math, Social Studies, and more to explore the pressing, relevant issue of what is happening to the Great Salt Lake.

Great Salt Lake Collaborative and Stokes Nature Center have created a collection of resources on the Great Salt Lake to aid Utah classroom teachers in teaching K-5th grade students about the Great Salt Lake who may not be able to travel to the lake itself.

Resources include curriculum guides, presentations to use in class, activities, worksheets, readings, and more - all created in alignment with UT SEEd standards and other core standards.

Free Great Salt Lake curriculum for
high school teachers!

Introduce the Great Salt Lake into your high school classroom with this FREE Fair Shares Presentation and Teacher’s Guide!

Teach your students all about the Great Salt Lake, the issues facing the lake today, and what we can do to save it. Pick your own ending with our suggested “advocacy projects” that cover a variety of disciplines such as art, English, and government.

Download the PDF versions of the presentation and teacher’s guide below for free. Having prints made of the presentation slides is recommended, but cost of printing is not covered by Stokes.
