Guided Nordic Ski Trips
Join us for a fun and educational trip on skis as we learn about and explore our National Forest!
Want to get outside in the snow with family or friends and use or learn how to XC ski? Gather your group together and give us a call to set up a guided XC ski trip with Stokes Nature center during the winter months. Our guide can help teach you the ropes or take you out somewhere more challenging if you want to explore somewhere new. All programs are offered on classic nordic skis.
$20 per person, does not include skis (participants must rent themselves).
*Groups require a minimum of 4 participants up to a maximum of 20 participants in order to schedule. Please request trip at least a week in advance.

XC ski Trip Options
Winter Watersheds and the history of XC skiing- Explore our local snowpack along Green Canyon with your Naturalist Guide. We’ll explore how water changes and fuels life in the Canyon through all seasons.
Alpine Wonders- Located near Beaver Mountain, the Beaver Bottoms trail offers an array of alpine meadows, forests, and fantastic views. Learn how ice, snow, and glaciers have shaped this area and how the wildlife that calls it home adapt to long, snowy winters. This trail is sometimes groomed but otherwise is flat and requires some skill in skiing. Length will be tailored to your group's needs.
Winter History- How did Native peoples, explorers, and settlers travel through and use Logan Canyon during the harsh winters? Explore the Temple Fork area with your Naturalist Guide and learn how the resources in this area shaped Cache Valley as we know it today. With a rich history and beautiful landscape, you’re sure to enjoy this trip. This trip can range from easy to moderate depending on your group's experience, snow conditions, and trailhead. This trail is not groomed and requires some skill in skiing. Length will be tailored to your group's needs.
Custom- Have our experienced staff create a custom program that will fit the needs and wants of your group.
