Help us make more nature education and outdoor exploration possible for all people by crossing your own “finish line” with our Wild Miles Challenge!

The journey begins September 16th and finishes on October 25th. You can start any day after September 16th, just finish by October 25th.

The challenge: Complete 27 activities in 39 days in honor of Allen and Alice Stokes’ birthdays. Accomplish miles, explore the outdoors, find new natural wonders, and support more nature education and stewardship - participate right where you are and just the way you are! No, you don’t have to complete every challenge, but we encourage you to try!

The reward: Making more nature education and outdoor exploration a reality for people of all ages! Also, prizes from our amazing sponsors will be awarded in four categories:

  1. Top points earner

  2. Most miles completed

  3. Most dollars fundraised

  4. First to finish the entire challenge.

All participants who reach at least 500 points will earn a Stokes Nature Center swag bag!

How to participate

It’s easy!

1) Sign up to participate as an individual or a team. Entry is $25 for individuals, $50 for a team. Teams can be no more than 4 people, and you can decide who does which challenge. Prizes will be awarded separately for teams versus individual competitors.

2) Once you sign up, we will send you your Wild Miles challenges. Decide how you want to participate: go for the points or go for the awards. You do you!

3) Submit your finished challenges to nature@logannature.org.

Can’t participate this year but still want to honor Allen and Alice Stokes and our 27th year? Donate directly to Stokes Nature Center HERE. Thank you for your support!
