A Nature Writing Workshop

7:00 pm - 9:00 pm @ Stokes Nature Center

Logan City Poet Laureate Star Coulbrooke will guide participants on a short walk by the river after sunset to read poems and gather sensory details for writing about the natural world. Topics may include “seeing” more clearly without using the eyes, hearing what we’ve forgotten to listen for, and using our other senses to perceive natural elements or types of wildlife that thrive in the dark. The group will then move inside the Nature Center to discuss strategies for creating their own poems from a prompt. Writing and sharing time will follow.
